At the end of November, 'The Friends of Sherborne Preparatory School' set off on a virtual challenge of 32,400 miles to visit 'Friends Around the Globe'. Visiting Doha, Singapore, Auckland and Tianjin, China they were able to hold virtual assemblies with their friends and learn about our amazing planet on the way. By logging their walks, runs, cycles, swims, rows and even skiing the amazing Team has propelled the schools Red Dragon across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the heat of the Australian outback and the bitter Siberian Winter all with the aim of raising money for the Sherborne Community Kitchen Charity.
The event raised a staggering £1,118.75 of which £715 was presented as a cheque, the remainder was via the schools Just Giving page. Ian Crighton, a trustee of the SCK was delighted to receive the cheque from the Headmaster Nick Folland and new head girl and boy at the school, Mia and Archie.
