Everyone needs a bit of encouragement and kindness, especially the hard working dedicated staff of the Yeatman Hospital. The Yeatman is an important part of our community. Please help us support them. Please send them a virtual Valentine and let them know how much the local community appreciates their work. Click here to send your virtual Valentine's message.
A young, talented flutist, Florence from Sherborne raised £200 for Sherborne Community Kitchen over the Christmas holidays by playing to the local residents in Sherborne's Cheap Street. Florence's proud mother commented, "I have to say, I was blown away by the kindness of all the passing shoppers. They stopped, clapped, took pictures and said what a worthwhile cause she was raising funds for. They were so generous". We are also so proud of Florence and her very kind contribution. Thank you so much Florence for thinking of us and for making such as wonderful donation to help us with our continued work we do to help the vulnerable in Sherborne and the surrounding areas.
We are noticing an increase in the number of vulnerable in Sherborne and the surrounding areas contacting us for our FREE 2 course daily lunches. To help us fund our work, we are now reaching out to those in Sherborne who would like to make a donation to our cause. To make it easier to donate, we have setup a JustGiving page to make your donation pledge easier. To donate just visit the page https://www.justgiving.com/sherborne-communitykitchen

Sherborne Preparatory School pupils create wonderful Christmas cards for our customers this Christmas Day.
The pupils of Sherborne Preparatory School were busy at work during term time, creating wonderful Christmas cards for us to deliver with our free three course lunches this Christmas day. We are sure our customers will enjoy reading the words written by the children. So we would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the students and teachers of Sherborne Preparatory School.
A Big THANK YOU to the partners, organisations and private individuals that have helped us this Christmas.
The volunteers would like to take this time to thank the organisations and individuals who have donated to help us deliver our three course Christmas lunches and surprises to our vulnerable and lonely Sherborne residents this Christmas Day. With the current restrictions on visiting loved ones this year, we are sure that these Christmas Day lunches will bring a little cheer to all that receive them, so once again a very BIG THANK YOU to you all.
